The paintings below are all ones that I've done since moving to Wiltshire in 2014. The most recent ones are at the top. I am trying to loosen my depiction of reality so that, although you will always know what I'm painting, there will be more room for your imagination. I have a little way to go!
Three paintings of the beach at Loédec, done in July 2015. The one on the left is chalk pastel and I gave it to Nanou, The other two are oils
This is the first of what I hope will be a series which I'm going to call Men at Work! I took lots of photos of the men building the stables and studio and I hope to do paintings that, like this one are quite loose and leave the details to the imagination. This is Andy Gray.
Chalk Pastel 2014 (Andy and Sue Gray have got this painting)
May 2014 - L'Etrave, the restaurant near us in Brittany, exhibited some of my paintings. My first exhibition!
Humming Bird, chalk pastels, Feb 2013 - from a photo taken by Milo in Belize
We had been looking at Redon in the class so this is meant to be inspired by him!. It is done on a charcoal ground, which is 4 or 5 layers of charcoal, fixed between layers. It makes it very velvety to work on which is pleasing.
