At long last I think that the garden in Kerlaouen has reached the stage where the plants growing are the ones that want to be there. Buddleia, Lychnis, Agapanthus, Wisteria, Olives and Irises are very happy. Lavender is reasonably happy but the roses struggle. I am fighting a losing battle to try and make sure that there are only white fox-gloves but I won't give up. This year I've put a lot of Erigeron seed in the walls, in the hope that it will take over. I've also put down a lot of seed from some lovely pale peach Hollyhocks I waked past in the next village. I live in hope!
